Over the years, I have built many pieces of casework, using dovetails. Novice woodworkers find them to be difficult and intimidating to attempt. They aren’t that hard to do.

Sharp tools, proper layout, accurate, observed reflective cutting, correction of errors between steps and accurate layout of the corrected pins on the board to be dovetailed before sawing and chopping the tails out, make for a good joint.
